Disney may be the happiest place on earth, but this Seattle mom’s home comes in a close second: Every room in Kelsey Hermanson‘s house is decorated with a Disney movie theme, according to Good Morning America.
“I grew up in Southern California and we would go to Disneyland all the time and I just love when you go there, you walk through those gates and you’re in a different world,” Hermanson told Good Morning America. “You’re not in reality, you’re somewhere else. And I wanted that in our home—I wanted to be able to go into different rooms and feel a little bit of that Disney magic in every room.”
Hermanson’s Disney decor first got on our radar a couple months ago with her Cinderella-themed bedroom. But a scroll through Hermanson’s Instagram page reveals that the rest of her home is just as magical as her bedroom. The main bathroom is Aladdin-themed and her daughter’s bathroom is inspired by The Little Mermaid, complete with a shower curtain featuring Ariel and Flounder, a Flounder rug, an Ariel plaque, and a shelves with Little Mermaid-themed figurines.
Other rooms decked out in detailed Disney decor are inspired by Rapunzel, Beauty and The Beast, and Lilo and Stitch.
As the spooky season approaches, Hermanson is starting to prep her home for Halloween with Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas decorations. Next to her dining room table, there’s a life-size Jack Skeleton and Zero, Jack’s ghost dog. Plus, a wreath on her door inspired by the classic movie.
