Newport Public Schools are urging all parents to fill out two mandatory forms that are essential to the district’s ability to plan transportation and in-school / distance learning logistics for the start of the school year:
Newport Public Schools Transportation Registration Form Failure to fill out this form will indicate that a student has alternate transportation options to school.
Newport Public Schools Distance Learning Request Form Failure to fill out this form will indicate that a student will be coming to in-person school.
“We need all of our parents to fill out the transportation registration form and the [remote] learning request form, if they prefer that option, as soon as possible,” Supt. Colleen Burns Jermain said in a press release. “Responses from these forms will allow us to schedule school bus transportation and arrange school building and [remote] learning logistics so we can start the school year as strong as possible under these challenging conditions.”
The full plan is available for review on npsri.net.
