It’s no doubt that Drew and Jonathan Scott are two of the biggest names in the home improvement industry. Between their popular HGTV Property Brothers series and its numerous spin-offs; to Scott Living, their home goods collection; and their lifestyle magazine, Reveal; the Canadian twin brothers have built an actual empire for themselves across North America.
According to CelebrityNetWorth.com, Drew and Jonathan Scott currently have a combined net worth of $200 million. Over the years, as their franchise continued to climb in value, the duo started digging deeper into their wallets. Earlier this month, they made their biggest purchase yet. Variety reports that Scott brothers scooped this $9.5 million estate, located in the Los Angeles’ Brentwood neighborhood, off the market.
The 6,383 square-foot property can be found at 2220 Mandeville Canyon Road. According to the listing, which was held by Mary Lu Tuthill, the property was sold on July 7, 2020; Kennon Earl represented the brothers in the sale.
The two-parcel home is described as a “trophy property” built in the 1930s. Surrounded by acres of lush rolling grounds, the five-bedroom mansion is fit for “every family gathering from weddings and graduations, to football games and Easter egg hunts, tennis tournaments and school carnivals,” as the listing suggests.
It even notes that the estate is ideal “for the person who craves privacy and a distinguished lifestyle.” In other words, this is not a property for the average, simple man. While we’re not surprised that Drew and Jonathan purchased this home, we’re curious about what the brothers plan to do with it. The listing notes that the Colcord home itself “could be renovated or replaced.”
Given that Drew and Jonathan Scott do fix-up houses for a living, it does make us wonder if we could see this estate featured on a future episode of the Property Brothers. Because, while it would be very adorable, it doesn’t seem likely that they’d pack up and move to Brentwood with their significant others. Although, the pandemic has caused quite a shift in how and where people are living. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see what their plans are.
In the meantime, you can view the property’s listing video below to get a more up-close look.
